Restaurants

Café Pushkin

The café, a veritable five-star restaurant, is open 24 hours a day and is situated inside a building that was renovated to look exactly like a Russian aristocrat’s home circa 1825. Here you can enjoy blinchiki (Russian pancakes) with black caviar, borscht and pelmeni (dumplings), before moving on to the famous Tsar’s Sturgeon and, of course, one of its many, many desserts.

Baccarat Cristal Room

The Cristal Room restaurant was opened in February 2008 in Nikolskaya Street on the second floor of Moscow’s Maison Baccarat. It was created by the legendary designer Philippe Starck using eclectic forms in an old mansion built in 1894-99 by the architect Erichson. Chef Michel Lenz’s cuisine showcases his great timeless creations, as stunningly brilliant as this palace with its stucco walls.

Beluga

Beluga is the number-one restaurant offering Russian delicacies and caviar. Alexander Rappoport, the famous restaurateur and innovator, has introduced a new take on Russian cuisine. The Beluga has one of the most luxurious caviar bars in the world, where dozens of all types of caviar are served either in a refined tasting experience or traditionally in sandwich-form with butter.

La Bella Societá

At the foot of the world-famous Four Seasons Hotel in Moscow and a few steps away from the Bolshoi Theatre you can taste true Italian cuisine in La Bella Società. The restaurant specialises in Sicilian and northern Italian dishes, as well as the classic pizzas and pan-Asian cuisine. Spacious, elegant and tasteful rooms provide the setting for a dinner that combines luxury and informality.

Wine&Crab

It is not just a few crab dishes and wine, as the restaurant’s name Wine and Crab would suggest, but a host of crab dishes and wine, and it is right in the heart of Moscow! The best wines to pair with crab have been brought together to make up a list of over 900 wines.

Semifreddo

Semifreddo is a restaurant going back over ten years that has been ranked by San Pellegrino as one of the top one hundred restaurants in the world. The food preparation of two Michelin-star chef Nino Graziano can be admired by guests from the restaurant which looks across to the open kitchen.

Frenchman Jerome Coustillas. After cutting his teeth in Michelin-starred establishments in France and abroad, Coustillas arrived in Moscow, where he has given pride of place to local ingredients and left nothing to chance.

Bolchoï

The Bolchoï restaurant is a unique project even for Europe, where it is hardly possible to surprise anybody with an unusual concept. The absolute innovation of the restaurant lies in its art constituent. Guests will find there an exclusive collection of modern art painting and sculptures.

White Rabbit

Located under a glass dome on the 16th floor of the Smolenskiy Passage, White Rabbit was the first joint project of restaurateur Boris Zarkov and chef Vladimir Mukhin. Wine

Twins Wine Space

The Saint Regis Nikolskaya Hotel has unveiled a new restaurant by the Berezutski brothers. A simple menu and lots of wines — a paradise for a true gourmet. The wine list includes rare items that can be found nowhere else in Moscow. Olga Lyashchuk, the winner of the 2017 Moscow Sommelier Cup, is in charge of the wine list.

AQ Kitchen by Adrian Quetglas

The menu is an anticipated step in Adrian Quetglas’s 10-year-long gastronomic journey in Russia. Here, at AQ Kitchen, Adrian’s cuisine is the expression of the experience of all these years: what he has learnt, what captivated him and what he has created. The menu is a pilgrimage through the flavours of the world, flirting between aroma and texture, like in a childhood adventure.

Winil

Winil is both a wine bar and restaurant. It was opened by sommelier Mikhail Volkov and features his own selection of wines. Winil’s wine list is very classical and focuses on the so-called traditional European wines: Burgundy, Alsace, Bordeaux, Mosel, Rheingau and Piemonte.

Big Wine Freaks

Don’t let the name fool you – it’s more refined than its name might suggest. With its bohemianstyle décor, this establishment is located on the corner of what was once Uprising Square, in the shadow of one of Stalin’s imposing Seven Sisters. The bar – affectionately known as Freaks by its wine merchant owners – is the more glammed-up sibling of the original in St Petersburg.

Grand Cru by Adrian Quetglas

This wine bar not only offers wines but also very good food. It is located on Malaya Bronnaya Street just beside the ponds of the Patriarch. The wine bar also has a retail sales section featuring an impressively wide range of both wines and spirits, probably the finest in Russia.

All this grandeur makes it a perfect location to enjoy a ballet or opera performance.

Tretyakov Gallery

The 130,000 Russian art works in the Tretyakov Gallery are drawn from eight centuries of art history, ranging from 11th century icons to 19th century Slavophilia paintings. Detached from Western influences, the works of the Slavophilia movement, a romantic and realist Russian nationalist school, feed heavily on Gogol, Chekhov,
Turgenev and Dostoevsky, while the landscape painters took inspiration from Rimsky-Korsakov, Mussorgsky and Borodin.

The Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra

The Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra was established after the Second World War by the Russian government and continues to amaze audiences with its performances with highly acclaimed conductors and soloists.

Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre
